Letter A Snack for Preschool
Themed activities are a fun way to reinforce learning. Here is a simple Letter A Snack for Preschool to practice learning what the letter A looks like and the sound it makes.
Items needed for the Letter A snack
- Pretzels sticks (at least 3 per student)
- Raisins
- Graham crackers (at least 1 per student)
- Peanut butter (or a non-peanut alternative like frosting)
- Plate and butter knife for each student
- Letter A visual
Setup before snack
Gather all of your items beforehand by placing all of the dry ingredients into a basket and the peanut butter into a bowl with a spoon.
Snack time at Preschool
- Ask your students to wash or sanitize their hands
- Spoon a dollop of peanut butter on a plate with a graham cracker and pass out one for each student.
- Encourage the students to spread the peanut butter on their cracker
- Show the students what an uppercase A looks like
- Pass out the pretzels to build the A, then ask how many raisins or “ants” they want and count them out together
